Executive Team

President

The President is VUSAC's leader. They are responsible for shaping the goals of VUSAC, supporting the rest of the council with their events and initiatives, and representing VUSAC more largely at the University of Toronto.

Vice-President Internal

 

The Vice-President Internal maintains the structure and wellbeing of the council and the office. In addition, they set the rules for the office and its culture.

Vice-President External

The Vice-President External is the connection between VUSAC and outside governing bodies. They liaison with the Dean's Office, governing bodies, the University of Toronto Students' Union, and more.

Vice-President Student Organizations

The Vice-President Student Organizations is the main point of contact for all of the clubs and levies. They work to ensure their needs are met and that they meet VUSAC's standards.

Commissioners & Co-Chairs

Commuter Commissioner

The Commuter Commissioner promotes the inclusion and integration of commuters at Vic. Their key events and services include weekly pancake brunches, locker rentals, and Home for the Holidays.

Commuter Co-Chair

The Commuter Co-Chair assists the Commuter Commissioner with their events and commuter initiatives throughout the year.

Equity Commissioner

The Equity Commissioner advocates for equity issues on campus and helps ensure that Vic students are educated on equity. Their key events and services include Art at the Intersections and Doc n' Talks.

Equity Co-Chair

The Equity Co-Chair supports the Equity Commissioner with their programming and advocacy efforts throughout the year.

Scarlet and Gold Commissioner

The Scarlet and Gold Commissioner plans fun and accessible social events for Victoria College students to enjoy. Their key events include the Back-to-School Pub Night, Semi-Formal, and Highball.

Academic Commissioner

The Academic Commissioner promotes academic and professional development. They connect students to ways to improve their learning and careers. Their key event is the Vic Alumni Networking Dinner.

Academic Co-Chair

The Academic Co-Chair supports the Academic Commissioner in their initiatives and events.

Arts and Culture Commissioner

The Arts and Culture Commissioner connects students with artistic opportunities and exposes the larger Toronto art scene. Their key events include the Gardiner Gala and The Bob Sketch Comedy Revue.

Mental Wellness Commissioner

The Mental Wellness Commissioner advocates for improved mental wellness services for Vic students and provides them with resources on and off-campus. Their key events and services include the Resource Guide, Exam Destressers, and DIY Self-Care Kits.

Sustainability Commissioner

The Sustainability Commissioner educates Vic students on sustainability issues and lobbies for better sustainable practices on campus. Their key events and services include Environmental Equity Week and Doc n' Talks.

Sustainability Co-Chair

 

The Sustainability Co-Chair helps the Sustainability Commissioner with their events and initiatives throughout the year.

Staff Team

Chair 

 

The Chair facilitates and keeps order in VUSAC meetings and also acts as interpreter of the governing documents of VUSAC.

Finance Chair 

 

The Finance Chair is responsible for steering budget and allocating funding at VUSAC and its commissions, clubs, and levies. They are the main contact point for all of VUSAC finances, which they oversee.

Communications Coordinator

 

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for advertising and promoting all of VUSAC activities, events, programming, and advocacy through its social media, website, and newsletters.

Office Manager

 

The Office Manager minutes VUSAC meetings and oversees the physical VUSAC office space and the services provided by VUSAC, such as printing.

Chief Returning Officer

 

The Chief Returning Officer supervises fall and spring elections and ensure they are run fairly and democratically, according to the Elections and Referenda Code. They promote elections and host election-specific events for students and candidates.

Councillors

Councillors assist with the portfolios of our commissioners and/or executives. They are assigned to these portfolios depending on their interests and where they'd like to contribute. They can also spearhead their own initiatives and sit on a variety of committees. It's one of the most versatile positions on council and a great way to get involved!

These positions are elected in the Fall, with 3 spots reserved for first-years, 3 spots reserved for upper-years, and 1 spot reserved specifically for an international student.
