What brought me to VUSAC: Some really inspiring and strong-willed student leader mentors, pure stubbornness and spite, a bunch of circumstances and situations where I said yes, and the Devil himself.

Goals for VUSAC: 1.) Revitalize the Vic community with VUSAC as a core hub for student life and advocacy. 2.) Push UofT and Vic administration for better accountability and transparency measures as this a core failure that allows for other issues at this university to thrive. 3.) Develop student leadership skills for students and strengthen student memory because students are a crucial driver of positive change 4.) Home: I consider home to be Vic when I'm on campus, I love all the people I have been able to meet here and the memories I have made. But my real home is Newmarket, Ontario. I was raised in this town all my life, and there is not a single street I don't know my heart.

Goals for VUSAC: My overall goal at VUSAC is to re-establish a friendly and interactive community both in the VUSAC circle and Vic as a whole, by increasing my interaction with the council itself and also promoting a safe return to in-person programming. Year and Programs of Study: 1st year, in social sciences, considering majors in economics, political science, or criminology.

Home: At Vic!

Favourite piece of media: BBC’s Merlin. There are a lot of other great pieces of media out there, but TV was the only category I had one definitive favourite for.

Favourite spot on campus: Definitely the Vic quad. I haven’t done a lot of exploring yet, so this could change, but for now, the quad is a nice place to relax, study and/or socialize!

What brought me to VUSAC: I had some really rewarding leadership opportunities in high school and was looking for a way to engage with the new community I am a part of. I specifically heard about VUSAC through Vic’s AWESOME orientation events!

Goals for VUSAC: Here are some specifics I have in mind: Returning safely to in-person events, an “information campaign” to make students more aware of what supports are available to them (especially first years!), giving students opportunities to express feedback and concerns to VUSAC, and more!

Pronouns: she/her

Year and Programs of Study: 2nd year, Book and Media Studies

Home: Edmonton, Alberta! It is where I grew up for most of my life :)

Favourite piece of media: My favourite movie is Waves. It’s a movie I always recommend to people who love contemporary movie plots and a good soundtrack. One thing you should know about me is that I am super passionate about music! So if you ever need song recommendations or if you just want to talk about music with me I’d be more than happy to do it. I have a couple favorite songs at the moment. Between Us and Alone With You by Alina Baraz are both bops. I also love me some Korean songs, so Bless You by Primary, Sam Kim, ph-1 and WOODZ have been on repeat for me as well. My favourite TV show is The Office, and it will always be The Office. And, my favourite book is probably Love Does by Bob Goff!

Favourite spot on campus: My favorite spot on campus is obviously our lovely Vic Quad, it’s just so peaceful and aesthetically pleasing. But, I love to study at good ol’ Robarts or at the Myhal building as well!

What brought me to VUSAC: I think what really drew me into VUSAC was knowing there was a tight-knit community that was welcoming and super friendly to everyone and anyone. As a second year student who was new to the campus, I was super nervous about making friends and meeting new people. But after I attended orientation and met the VUSAC members, I was so drawn to their warm personalities that it made me want to work with them and be part of their community!

Goals for VUSAC: My goal is to advocate for an efficient and clean organizational system at VUSAC. As a transfer student who is new to campus but in upper year studies, it was super overwhelming to deal with the transition of coming to UofT. I want to make sure that our students at Vic always have at least one less thing to worry about so they can focus on achieving their goals and getting to where they want to be. This goal may be super broad, but I intend to create a direct and specific impact on our student’s lives in a positive and uplifting way!
