Councillor

  • 8 Councillors Total

  • 3 reserved for first-year students

  • 3 reserved for upper-year students

  • Opportunity to work with different portfolios (Execs, Commissioners, Staff)

  • Low time commitment

  • Develop a great understanding about how Vic and VUSAC work!


International Councillor

  • Must pay international student fees to be eligible to run

  • Position overseen by the Vice President External

  • Liaise with international student groups at Vic & U of T

  • Put on events and initiatives for international students!

  • The position's first year!


Equity Commissioner

  • Work with the Equity Co-Chair to recruit and oversee the Equity Commission

  • Put on events and initiatives for marginalized students on campus

  • Advocate for marginalized students and systemic change at Vic

  • Work to make VUSAC a more equitable body

General Elections Information

VUSAC Elections are run according to our Elections and Referenda Code, available above.

 

Elections at Victoria College are held biannually to fill positions on VUSAC, the Victoria College Council (VCC), the Victoria University Senate (VUS), and the Board of Regents. 

 

The following positions are elected in the Spring:

- President

- Vice-President External

- Vice-President Internal

- Vice-President Student Organizations

- Academic Commissioner

- Arts & Culture Commissioner

- Commuter Commissioner

- Equity Commissioner

- Mental Wellness Commissioner

- Scarlet & Gold Commissioner

- Sustainability Commissioner

- Victoria College Council members (10 positions)

- Victoria University Senate members (2 positions)

- Board of Regent members (3 positions)

 

The following positions are hired by selection committees at the end of the Spring semester:

- Finance Chair

- Chair

- Chief Returning Officer

- Communications Coordinator

- Office Manager
